THIS YEAR’S CHALLENGINGHOLE IN KOREAN PROFESSIONAL GOLF IS A 11TH HOLE AT SEOWON VALLEY AND THE 9TH HOLE AT WOOJUNG HILLS

The 11th hole at Seowon Valley CC and the 9th hole at Woojung Hills CC have been named the most difficult holes on the Korean Professional Golf Tour for the 2023 season. According to the Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) on June 6, the 11th hole (par-4, 506 yards) at Seowon Valley CC in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, where the LG Signature Players Championship was held, averaged 4.55 strokes, 0.55 strokes higher than the standard. There were only three birdies on the 11th hole during the tournament, the fewest on the Korean Tour this year. There were 90 bogeys, 13 double bogeys and six triple bogeys.

The ninth hole at Woojung Hills CC (par-4, 444 yards) in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, where the Korea Open was held, averaged 4.55 strokes over the four days, with 24 birdies, 142 bogeys, 31 double bogeys and 12 scores of triple bogey or worse. The next most difficult hole was the 16th hole at Namseoul CC (par-4, 535 yards) in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, where the GS Caltex Mae Kyung Open was held.It plagued players with a stroke average of 4.54.
