Gangwon Province announced on the 1st that it will conduct inspections to prevent bedbugs in the athletes’ village ahead of the opening of the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games.From the 2nd to the 5th, the province plans to conduct preliminary inspections to prevent bedbugs in two athlete village dormitories, five operating personnel dormitories, and two infectious disease preliminary quarantine facilities.The province plans to select 625 multi-occupancy rooms out of a total of 2,500 for sample inspection, and promptly exterminate bed bugs when risk factors are discovered.
The province will conduct joint inspections by forming 16 inspection teams with the Gangwon branch of the Korea Quarantine Association and the four cities and counties in the host region to carefully find bed bug eggs, larvae, and adults hiding in crevices such as mattresses and wallpaper. Governor Kim Jin-tae said, “As this is the first international event to be held in the new year of 2024, we will do our best to prevent bedbugs from occurring through 슬롯게이밍 joint efforts by the province, city, county, and pest control companies.”
