Son Heung-min to start against QPR in pre-season… ‘tired’ before coming to Korea?

Tottenham, in its 10th year in the English Premier League, starts its second public friendly of the preseason.

Thomas Werner and Brennan Johnson will partner Son Heung-min in an attacking trio.

Tottenham, coached by Australian Ange Postecoglou, will face Championship (Division Two) Queens Park Rangers (QPR) at Loftus Road in London, England, on Tuesday (Aug. 20) at 11 p.m. ET.

Previously, Spurs hosted League One (3rd Division) Cambridge United in an unofficial friendly at their training ground on Sept. 13, winning 7-2. Specific lineup information was not available, but according to British media, Son played the first 45 minutes and scored two goals.

The team then traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland, to face Hearts of the Scottish Premiership in their first public friendly of the preseason, a 5-1 victory. Against Hearts, Son played the first 45 minutes before coming off the bench. He was active but didn’t create any offense.

Tottenham move up a level and face a team from England’s second tier. QPR is a team that Park Ji-Sung played for for one year in the 2012-2013 season after his release from Manchester United. They were in the Premier League at the time.

Tottenham have yet to utilize them as they are resting players from the recently concluded Euro 2024 and Copa America 2024. Micky Van der Vaart (Netherlands), Radu Dragusin (Romania), and Cristian Romero (Argentina) are just a few examples. That’s why Son Heung-min has been utilized so early in the preseason. The same is true for QPR.

Postecoglou started Brandon Austin in goal, with Pedro Foro, Archie Gray, Oliver Skip, and Jamie Donley in the backline. Pape Sarr, Yves Bissouma, and Lucas Verbal 카지노사이트 추천 form the midfield. Son Heung-min, Johnson, and Werner form the back three.

Son’s role hasn’t been revealed yet, but given how the other players function, it’s likely he’ll be up top.

After this match, Tottenham will travel to Asia, including a visit to South Korea.

Spurs will first travel to Japan to play a friendly against J-League side Bissell Kobe at the Tokyo National Stadium on July 27, before heading to Seoul to play Team K-League at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on July 31 at 8 p.m.

On Aug. 3, the team will play a friendly against Bayern Munich, where Kim Min-jae plays, at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Then, on Aug. 11 at 1:30 a.m., the team will play another friendly at home against Bayern Munich at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After the two games against Munich, the preseason concludes with a 4 p.m. kickoff on Aug. 20 against promoted Leicester City to open the 2024-2025 Premier League season.
