Scott Smith has been appointed non – executive director of racecourse media group, an umbrella organisation of 35 UK racecourse shareholders and parent company of racing TV, and will join the RMG board on October 1, 2023.
Smith is the chief financial officer of England & Wales Cricket Board with over 20 years of experience in financial leadership across sports, real estate, construction and consulting.
Prior to his appointment at the ECB, Smith was Chief Financial Officer of America’s Cup, and previously Financial Officer of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport.
Smith, who has extended his work to climbing the world’s most notorious mountains and completing the “Four Deserts” endurance series, said, “I’m excited to join the RMG board at a time when increasing the revenue of the shareholder racecourse is more important than ever. In this dynamic and fast-moving industry, I look forward to promoting innovation in horse racing sports and helping to develop growth opportunities.” 경마
Conor Grant, who succeeded Roger Lewis as chairman of the RMG board on October 1, said, “We are pleased to welcome Scott to the racecourse media group board.
