Michigan iGaming Revenues Sports Betting Operators $175.4M In August

Michigan Commercial and Tribal Operators Reported Total Internet Game (iGaming) Total Revenue And Sports Betting Revenue Of $175.4 Million For August. Total revenue decreased 0.4% compared to July results.

Total iGaming revenue totaled $152.2 million in August and total sports betting revenue totaled $23.2 million. In July 2023, iGaming gross income was $153.6 million and sports betting gross income was $22.5 million. 파친코

Total iGaming and Internet Sports Betting Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) for August was $153.1 million, including $137.2 million in iGaming and $155.9 million in Internet sports bets, down 0.7% and 3.0% compared to July 2023, respectively. Compared to the revenue reported in August 2022, iGaming AGR was down 16.8% and sports betting was down 1.3%.

Total Internet sports betting handles were $218.5 million, up 8.8% from $208 million recorded in July 2023.

Businesses reported filing $29.7 million in taxes and payments to Michigan for the month of August:

Internet Game Tax and Fees: $28.6 Million
Internet Sports Betting Taxes and Fees: $1.1M

Three Detroit casinos (MGM Grand Detroit Casino, Grigtown Hollywood Casino, and Motor City Casino) announced that they paid $7.3 million in wages and disputes to the city of Detroit during the month of August:

Internet Game Tax and Fees: $6.9 Million
Internet Sports Betting Taxes and Fees: $368,596

Tribal operators reported paying the governing body $3.6 million last August.
