Lightning Box, a Sydney-based slot game developer, says it has “drawn inspiration from Asia” for its latest game, “Devin Stars.”

“General market rollout will begin in the first half of August,” the manufacturer said in a press statement Wednesday. Lightning Box was acquired by Scientific Games, a legacy company of Light & Wonder (L&W), in 2021.

David Little, chief product officer at Lightning Box, said in a press release: “The interactive elements of the Divine Stars mean that “player judgment based on risk and reward decisions has a significant impact on free rotation.”

Rob Proctor, vice president of Light & Wonder Game Development, also said in a statement, “The huge biggest winning combination in Asia-themed popular titles will be very popular with slot enthusiasts, and we look forward to receiving a response as soon as the game is released.”

The game runs over 3×5 reels with 25 paid lines, with “lucky red letters and ancient coins,” a symbol that encompasses China and elsewhere, according to launch sources.

The Lightning Box was founded in 2004 by Peter Causley and Mr Little, respectively, as game designers for Aristocrat Leisure Ltd and International Game Technology (IGT).
