The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) said on the 27th, “We warned KT manager Lee Kang-chul, who ordered the team to withdraw from the ground after the referee’s exit during the game.”

Coach Lee ordered the team to withdraw from the ground after being sent off while protesting against the video reading ahead of the end of the sixth inning in the KIA Tigers match held at Gwangju-KIA Champions Field on the 24th.

Paragraphs 1-4 of the KBO League stipulate that “if the coach withdraws part or all of the team from the ground during or after the appeal, the coach is immediately dismissed as an act that hinders smooth game management.”

As in this case, KBO has decided to punish severely if acts that hinder smooth game management recur in the future.

Meanwhile, coach Lee Kang-chul, who received a warning, accepted the disciplinary action. Coach Lee said, “What I said was a reason for disciplinary action. You have to admit it,” he said.
