Galaxy Entertainment Group, a market leader in gaming and hospitality, has formed a historic partnership with the world’s leading hotel brand, Capella Hotels and Resorts, according to Travel + Leisure Magazine. As a result, the former company’s Galaxy Macao property will be home to the first Capella property in the Greater Bay Area.
Capella’s five-star hotel is expected to open in mid-2025 and will bring visitors the quality the brand normally possesses. The new accommodation will strengthen the Galaxy Macau complex and redefine Macau’s leisure.
Galaxy Macao’s Capella will feature a 17-story hotel with 36 Sky villas and 57 suites. The luxurious property was designed by a renowned French company, Mona Lisa V̄ Taylle, who was strongly inspired by local flora.
Sky Villa features balconies, Infinity Edge pools, outdoor lounges, sunrooms, and a hidden winter garden, allowing guests to experience a truly relaxing atmosphere. Francis Lui, vice president of Galaxy Entertainment Group, said his team is looking forward to welcoming guests to this ultra-luxury hotel. According to him, the partnership with Capella Hotels and Resorts reflects his team’s desire to create memorable properties at and beyond the Galaxy Macau Unified Resort.
According to Lui, the new addition to the integrated resort will help Galactic Macao continue to maintain its lead in providing a luxurious hospitality experience in Macao.
Evan Kwee, vice president of the Capella Hotel Group, called the establishment of the new hotel an “important moment” for his company. He said his team hopes the hotel will introduce visitors to Macau’s rich cultural heritage.
