Swedish gaming authority Spellinspection has issued a consultation on match fixing and preventing illegal gambling. The document, released in the latest casino news, includes new measures against fraud and accidental providers’ unlicensed games.

Establishes an automated system for reporting match-fixing cases with the Swedish Game Agency as an information exchange hub, Spellinspect must obtain, organize, and analyze information, and the authorities must also have an exclusive right to match-fixing;

Spellinspection also explained that the implementation of all measures would take much more time and resources than the ministry expected. Authorities have proposed moving the launch date from July 2022 to January 2023.
