Spellinspect’s reference to anti-fraud measures proposed by the Treasury in the assessment. The most important suggestions are:

Establishes an automated system for reporting match-fixing cases with the Swedish Game Agency as an information exchange hub, Spellinspect must obtain, organize, and analyze information, and the authorities must also have an exclusive right to match-fixing;
Increase fines for money laundering violations. Gambling authorities propose higher fines for money laundering without agreeing with the Treasury on this matter. The current fine is capped at SEK 10 million. Gambling regulator proposes to set fines at 10% of operator’s GGR;
Prosecute offshore gambling providers without a license. SPELLIN SPECTION SUPPORTS FORMAL OFFICE TO BAN ALL TRANSACTIONS TO FOREIGN COMPANIES WITHOUT A SWEDISH GAMBING LICENSE;
The Spellin Challenge specializes in purchasing illegal services with hidden identities. The gambling regulator rejected the proposal, arguing that there could be many problems.

Spellinspection also explained that the implementation of all measures would take much more time and resources than the ministry expected. Authorities have proposed moving the launch date from July 2022 to January 2023.
