Donaco Resumes Game Operations In Star Vegas

Australian-listed casino operator Donaco International said casino operations at Star Vegas Club & Casino (file photo) in Poipet, on the Cambodian-Thailand border, “will resume from June 18, 2022.”

“Donaco has confirmed that the Cambodian government and related local authorities have lifted the temporary closure of casino operations in Bantei Meanchei province, where Star Vegas is located,” the casino company said in a filing on Friday.

“Star Vegas’ operations will initially resume on a limited scale, and Donaco is in a position to progressively move forward toward full operational capabilities in the coming months,” it added.

The property was the company’s main source of income before the COVID-19 pandemic, but it closed for more than two years. 슬롯머신

In its announcement on Friday, Donaco said Star Vegas’ “gradual increase to full operations” would allow the company to “continue the prudent cost-control strategy it has implemented across its business” in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The file includes prepared remarks from Donaco’s non-executive chairman, Porn Amatavadana, and the company said it was “delighted” by Star Vegas’ resumption and “return to full-scale operations.”

He added: “The Cambodian border with Thailand has also been reopened, with the vast majority of Star Vegas customers traditionally coming from the region.”

The executive said Donaco “will focus on careful control of business and operating costs,” adding that “it will take some time for operations to go back.”
